Matt Jubera

Matt Jubera is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo black belt who was trained under Saulo and Xande Ribeiro- two of the world's most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors (6x world champions) and sought-after instructors. He is a 3-time Pan American Champion and the 2011 black belt American National Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Matt was voted the Fight to Win Grappler of the Year in 2011.
For Pan Ams 2012 he will be training with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champions he will be traveling to train with Saulo Ribeiro, Xande Ribeiro and Rafael Lovato Jr. He hopes to come in with an improved takedown game from working with wrestling coaches Reid Delman and Leister Bowling III along with the #1 ranked Judo player in the US Jacob Larsen. Every week Matt trains hard along UFC veterans Matt Wiman, Eliot Marshall, Ed Herman, Nate Marquart, Alvin Robinson, Tyler Toner and Justin Salas. He has been following his passion of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu full time since opening Dark Horse Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Longmont, Colorado in 2010.

Patrick Davis

Patrick Davis has been training at Darkhorse since they opened 2 years ago. Patrick received his Blue belt late in 2011. He is one of Professor Matt and Professor Andrew's prodigies of what a Blue belt is. One of six sibling, Patrick Davis, was born in Oxford Ms June 6th,1989. Since starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010 Patrick hasn't stopped since. Patrick is an extremely dedicated competitor who trains six days a week to evolve his game and become the best he can be. Competing and winning many tournaments in his division, he plans on keeping the momentum going for many years to come.

Shawn M Wentz (Sarge)

Sarge has been training and competing in Brazilian Jujitzu for one year now. Sarge has undergone the majority of his training at Darkhorse Brazilian Jujitzi Academy in Longmont. He claimed two titles in 2011 at the white belt 170# wieght class both in the open and Master divisions. Sarge's grappling background was forged in the premier wrestling state of Ohio where he placed 3rd in the 1994 Ohio State High school championships and also was a member of the Kent State Varsity wrestling Divsion I Wrestling program from 1998 till 2003.
Sarge has been recently promoted to Blue Belt and was happy to achieve this 2012 goal early in the year. Another of Sarge's goals is to win the Pan this year at the 168# weight class.

Chris Mayer

Mayer earned his blue belt in December of 2011 after training for a year and half under the leadership of Matt Jubera and Andrew Dudderar, Dark Horse Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu owners and 2 of the most decorated black belt champions in Colorado.
